Bernarda Carranza
Wanderer. Journalist. Dreamer.
Bernarda Carranza is a multimedia journalist and photographer based in Quito, Ecuador. She is currently the International PR & Content Executive at Metropolitan Touring.
She often writes about travel and culture. Her studies have taken her to live in many different countries throughout her life such as the USA, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Germany. She has a B.A. in Multimedia Journalism from Universidad San Francisco de Quito, and an Erasmus Mundus M.A. in Journalism, Media and Globalization from Aarhus University and University of Hamburg.
She was a writer and junior editor at Ñan Magazine, a bilingual travel magazine in Ecuador. Currently at Metropolitan Touring, she works in communications, copywriting and translating. She is also involved in audiovisual productions, where she does photography and videography. Since January 2024, Bernarda has also been responsible for international PR, organizing and managing international press trips to Ecuador.

Bernarda understands the world through stories. A reader and writer from a young age, she is equally passionate about visual storytelling. In her photographic work she is interested in documentary photography and capturing authentic moments, documenting people and their stories.

Bernarda's wanderlust fuels her travel writing and photography. ​She is happiest when she’s on the road, reporting in the field, hiking through the Andean páramo or simply when she’s dancing.
